Matt got an anonymous secret admirer lovey-dovey pink heart and purple swirls note in his mail box at school last week. I was asking him annoying mom questions about it like who do you think it is from? And do you think you will get another note? We got on the subject of girlfriends (really, at age seven this is blowing my mind) and Matt came out with this little bit of dating philosophy: I don't really think having a girlfriend right now is a good idea. We move too much and she would fall in love and then we would leave and I don't want to be that kind of guy.
Nic was being antsy before church yesterday. I told him to sit quietly in the pew while I went to talk to some ladies and if he really needed something to do he could find words he knew in the Bible. I came back to a stack of Bible on the pew and Nic making his way down the seats, pulling out every Bible along the way. I asked what he was doing and he informed me that "all the Bibles are wrong. They are supposed to start with Matthew but they all start with Gemisnis. At AWANAS they said the New testmint starts with Matthew. So these must be really old. So we need to tell the Chapels and then throw them all away."
