November 1st has traditionally been a grouchy, cranky, blah day at our house.
Being up late the night before, sugar crashing, and a bit of a normal post-holiday let down add up to a rough day for the boys and I.
Not so today. Yes, we were all a little overly tired today. A little on the overly sugared/sugar crashed out side. A little sad Halloween is over. But the pure, complete, insane joy our little Ohana was blessed with yesterday spilled over. And we are all still smiling.

The boys picked their costumes to match and even thought of how to get Em in on it as a mushroom guy.

We had Matthews good friend Christian (and his sister and mom and dad) with us as well. Christian was Mario, too. Supah cute. Nic danced and sang his way through trick-or-treat. Everyone was polite...everyone said please and thank you. No tears and no griping when we called it a night and sent minions to bed. There are a million other little details (a costume parade at school, mummy-dogs, perfect weather) that made the day grand. They all blended together to create great moments, an awesome day.
I hope, and know it can be, this is how the holidays continue to go for us.
Smiles and happy and love all around.
